Why Take This Course From
a Maryland Title Insurance Attorney?
In order to perform real estate settlements (also called "closings") for Maryland title
insurance companies, you are required to have a title insurance producer's
license in addition to your Maryland notary commission. And, to be blunt:
If you "Google" schools that offer training to pass the Maryland Title Insurance Exam, most of them fall into these 3 categories;
* National notary trade associations;
* Maryland notaries who may perform occasional title insurance closings, whose understanding of day-to-day Maryland title insurance practices is probably "iffy"; and
* A long list of opportunistic, random, in-state and out-of-state individuals/companies that teach courses using AI-created materials, but know very little about the quirks of Maryland's title insurance laws and practices!
These schools charge anywhere from about $150 to $600+ for their Maryland title insurance courses. But here's what you don't know:
Your chances of passing the Maryland title insurance examination are pretty grim. Ask these other schools what percentage of their students pass the Maryland state title insurance exam? Many only have a 20-40% pass rate, based on figures published in the past by the State of Maryland.
The Maryland title insurance
exam isn't easy to pass!
Don't torture yourself by spending your good money and valuable time on courses that may not get you over the finish line!
1. If you want to pass the Maryland Title Insurance Exam, you should learn about title insurance from an experienced Maryland title insurance attorney. These attorneys provide legal advice to their title insurance agency/clients as their profession. They know what they're doing, and most have been practicing title insurance law for many years!
2. There's a relatively small group of title insurance attorneys in Maryland. There's an even smaller group of title insurance attorneys who work for national title insurance companies as a "title insurance underwriter". Underwriters provide advice in Maryland to other title insurance attorneys and title insurance agencies who perform closings and issue title insurance in this state. They are the ultimate experts on Maryland title insurance law and practices.
3. If you're not learning about Maryland title insurance law and practice from a Maryland title insurance attorney or underwriter, you're not getting the best possible education for your time and money.
Here's what I mean:
1. If you want to become a millionnaire, learn directly from millionnaires!
2. If you want to become an attorney, learn from attorneys,
not paralegals;
3. If you want to learn about title insurance, learn from a title insurance attorney and underwriter, not from notaries, trade associations,
or other random people who don't even work full-time
in the Maryland title insurance business!

I've taught Maryland title insurance courses consistently for the past 14 years to hundreds of successful title insurance producers and TIPICs.
My students pass the Maryland title insurance examination at a very high rate. When the State of Maryland was keeping records of title insurance student pass rates, my students passed at a rate of 84% (meaning approximately 5 out of 6 of my students eventually passed the Maryland Title Insurance Exam!). That's up to 4x higher than many other Title Insurance Exam schools!
